Covid Cancellation Policy (24 hours notice required)
You will get a full refund, inc non-refundable deposit (less any bank fees) if:

  • You cannot attend due to a government-mandated lockdown; the Queensland government restricting your entry to the state; your home state government restricting your movement into Queensland.
  • You cannot attend due government-mandated isolation (either due to catching Covid prior to departure, or being identified as a close contact according to the rules of your state / of the state you are in immediately prior to entering QLD / of QLD itself, or any other government-mandated instruction). Medical evidence will need to be provided, eg in the form of a doctor’s letter.

CovidSafe Policy inc QLD border policy and immunisation requirements
At the time of writing:

  • There are no domestic border restrictions re: entering Queensland. This means that you can travel to Queensland from anywhere in Australia. You do not need to have a border pass; you do not need to provide evidence of a negative Covid test; you do not need to quarantine.
  • The QLD government requires all patrons who enter any hospitality or tourism business to be fully vaccinated.
  • You will be required to check-in and show proof of being fully vaccinated (or evidence of medical contraindication) to enter Thala Beach Nature Reserve, Sailaway Port Douglas and Nautilus Restaurant.
  • At the time of writing, according to the QLD government “fully vaccinated” means “a person has had the required two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine by 16 December 2021. It does not include a booster shot or a two-week wait after the second dose.” Of course, this definition may change at any time, eg to include a booster. Please keep an eye on QLD’s policy, as will I.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Even if the QLD government relaxes restrictions for unvaccinated people, Thala Beach Nature Reserve has advised that it will keep the policy in place to protect staff and patrons.
  • We will be required to follow all national and/or local government mandates in force at the time. This includes if you catch Covid on the flight or during the retreat. If this happens to you, please think about how you will manage this (e.g. if you are required to isolate beyond the last day of our retreat – where will you isolate; how will you organise it; how much will it cost; will transfers be available; will you be able to change your return flight). If I (as the organiser and presenter) catch Covid and need to isolate in my room, we will continue with all sessions as planned (if I am able) – but I will appear on Zoom. You will still be able to participate in all meals and other activities. Please note: I am double vaxxed + boosted and will do everything in my power to avoid catching Covid at this time!!!

Access

Access to the Paradise Yoga studio is through the owl door and down the steps.

There are around 50 steps, so unfortunately it is not suitable for wheelchairs or people who struggle with steps.

Please park on the street, being mindful of the neighbours. Note that if you park parallel with, or within 3m of, the double white lines in the middle of the road, you are very likely to get a ticket!

Studio Covid Policy

My commitment to you:

  • I will adhere to all current government guidelines and regulations
  • Paradise Yoga is a registered COVID-Safe business and I have a COVID-Safe plan (available on request)
  • All regularly-touched surfaces are cleaned after every class
  • Each student is allowed 4sqm of space, and the doors are kept open, providing lots of ventilation (bring a jumper and socks!)
  • 70% alcohol hand-sanitiser and soap are provided for your use
  • Masks are optional
  • I am double-vaxxed + booster. My immunisation record is shown at the studio
  • There are currently no restrictions on regarding immunisation status; however, my dedicated regulars have expressed a strong preference that all attendees are double-vaxxed (unless exempt).

Your commitment to me and the other students:

  • If required by law, you will show me your immunisation record (this only needs to be done once)
  • You will check in with the QR code
  • You will not come to class if you are even just slightly unwell (even if you know for sure it’s just hayfever). Full refunds will be given.
  • You will be kind to me and other students, especially if a difference of opinion arises before, during or after the class. My recommendation is that we all keep our thoughts to ourselves, so that we can keep Paradise Yoga as a real retreat from the world and its worries.

A real gem, Parasdise Yoga it is bliss, as soon as I walk through the owl door, and down the steps, the stress is lifting, 11/2 hours of yin/rebounding and I’ve reached my happy place. And yoga nidra by Claire wow! It is beyond the feeling of a really good nights sleep! Relaxing, energising a must.
